"This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I have to say I was a little nervous when I saw the 4.1 overall. I do not know if ownership transferred recently or what but it's not the "magical" place I remember. Downstairs the cocktail list is underwhelming. My partner ordered a Manhattan which was fine except there was lipstick still on the glass. We decided on 2 apps, the octopus, and the sausage and peppers. The octopus was SPECTACULAR as always. The sausage and peppers was cold when it came out. Even the cast iron it came out in was cold. We asked for it to be warmed up and the staff was accommodating. They brought it back piping hot, but when it came back, we noticed we did not like the flavor profile at all. It tasted like sausage in Buffalo sauce (I'm not a fan of Buffalo). I don't think they added anything weird to it but for one reason or another before they reheated it I didn't realize how horrible the flavor was. The crab bisque was awesome but over salted. We decided after a few bloopers to just split one entree together. The lobster stuffed shells were very good. The service was pretty good, the sausage and peppers was still on the bill as expected since they fixed it. After our meal, we went upstairs where the cocktail menu was WAY cooler. I think the cocktails could've been made better. I think the bartender struggled a bit with her ratios. Other than that though she was very good. My boyfriend and I drove and hour from South Bend because this was one of my favorite places. I was disappointed but we still had a decent time. Unfortunately, it seems to be going downhill."

"Conveniently located just off the toll road exit Abbiocco was worth the stop. Friendly service and a beautiful setting both inside and out. I ordered the Abbiocco burger and my wife got the pasta. The burger was excellent but the pasta stole the show. Excellent ambience and generous portions. My Peroni came in the coolest glass ever... it's the little things and this place does them all well!"

"Carrie was very attentive and wanted everything to be just to our liking. The burrata with tomato and apple jam was amazing. The chopped salad and gnocchi were flavorful. Overall a great meal."

"Looking for a finer dining experience this is where we were brought in the area. Staff was polite, while some were highly under dressed and slightly inappropriate for the mood. Drinks were absolutely perfect and would come back for those alone. Food was cooked perfectly, but lacked proper seasoning and was rather bland. The Parmesan fries and drinks would be the sole reason for our return."

"I had dinner here with my 15-month-old on a quiet weekday. There was no wait when we got there and we were promptly greeted and seated at a table that worked well for a baby (facing the TV). I especially appreciated the waitress disinfecting the high chair before bringing it to our table. The best part was the staff. I am not sure if the waitress assigned to my table was new or better trained (after reading the other reviews), but I enjoyed their service the most. The food was good, not great and a bit pricey. We had a pizza, meatball appetizer, a lasagna and a side of brussels sprouts. The dough on the pizza is thin and crunchy but a bit more oily than traditional Italian pizzas. The Brussels sprouts were a bit burnt, but I like that, however not everyone does. The lasagna was very good and it's a bit different: short rib instead of ground meat. The total for our bill after tip was about $80. Overall, I would eat here again."

"We just had a wonderful meal this evening with our two sons. Even with some pretty tough food restrictions for our boys this restaurant came through big time. My husband got the lasagna and I got the chicken parmesan. We ordered a personal pizza for the table and each of the boys cut some spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was wonderful and the meatballs are homemade and it shows! For dessert we were able to get sorbets, also made at the restaurant, for the boys and myself and a latte for my husband. We don't live in the area but if we did we would be back this restaurant for sure!"

"Wait staff was just a little slow, but other than that the food, wine, and cheesecake ball was amazing. Don't forget your ID. I ordered wine and I had to run home and get my ID.....Im almost 40. I get the rules, but a little bummed they didn't look at my wrinkly eyes lol."
